Careers
Vermont Arborists Careers, We are always looking for people passionate to the field of arboriculture.
Our company stands apart from other tree services by being committed to its people first, and by its commitment to arboriculture in general.
In a nutshell our best candidates have three attributes:
- Strong. Tree work is hard work, there is no getting around this, so the people that are employed here are physically fit.
- Brave. Let’s face it, a person that hangs off a rope and saddle at 75 feet and runs a chainsaw, or runs the bucket truck, is brave. Everyone in the field has that skill or is training to get there.
- Humble. There’s plenty of people who are strong and brave, but you need a level of humility, as well. Humble means respect for your co-workers and your clients even when things don’t go right.
We are a drug free environment and all applicants must have a valid driver’s license and own a vehicle.
We help you become a Certified Arborist.
Vermont Arborists takes a team approach to our employees. You won’t just interview with the boss or someone in HR, you’ll meet your potential co-workers ahead of time and everyone gets to see if you’re a good fit. Isn’t that a good way to go? Wouldn’t it be nice before you started a job to have at least a gut feeling about who you’ll be working with.
The employees that work here are some of the higher paid arborists in Vermont. There are raises when you become a certified arborist, get your CTSP, your CDL, or your pesticide license. We will help you get those licenses. We contribute towards health insurance, and a retirement plan, pay major holidays, and give paid vacations and personal days.

Happy to train & share our knowledge.
All employees that have worked for the company for at least one year get an expense paid trip to Tree Care Industry Expo. Curiously, we see few other tree companies from Vermont at Expo. Maybe you’ve worked in the industry for awhile and have never been. Maybe you’ll want to join our team so you can join us at Expo.
Experience is great, but we are happy to train. We have good, modern, safe equipment and there’s no revolving door here. If being an arborist is something that intrigues you, or if you’re already committed to the field, then we would enjoy meeting you.
